While there is no magic trick or secret solution to solve all of our challenges, there is value in building a trusting relationship and having a space to share your thoughts, feelings, and fears where you can be met with compassion, empathy, and patience. I am honored to create that space for you to tell your story. I approach every new interaction with curiosity and authenticity, and view all humans from a trauma informed care lens. I value that your life experiences have shaped the person you are today, from the way your brain developed to your view of yourself and the world around you. I believe that when we better understand those patterns of thoughts and behaviors that we engage in everyday, we can start to unpack what is still working for us, and what is maladaptive and no longer helping us become our most self-actualized, authentic version of ourselves. I utilize EMDR and other client-centered practices that are rooted in mindfulness and compassion.
I invite you to give yourself this gift of time and partner with me to create a space to show up, be present, and build that connection with yourself in a deeper way. Dedicating this time to yourself can be hard, and being vulnerable can be even scarier, but I believe its in that space, just outside of our comfort zone, where the real growth occurs! I believe that we are all whole and perfect just the way we are, and that humans, by nature, are good. While we don’t need therapy to “fix” us, I believe that we all deserve the space, time, and nurturing to allow us to grow to fall deeper in love with ourselves.
A bit about me. When I’m not in the office, you can find me outside. Whether that’s walking my dogs, gardening, volunteering on the farm, hiking or backpacking, I am happiest outdoors and find the most peace when I am able to find movement and space in nature.
